Tan Weiwei
Tan Weiwei ( or Sitar Tan; born October 8, 1981 in Sichuan), the runner-up of the third season (2006) of a singing contest in China, Super Girls (Chinese: 超级女声) or Super Voice Girl. In 2015, she participates in season 3 of the Chinese version of I Am A Singer, where it was revealed that she is a vegan. ==Biography==
Tan Weiwei was born in the town of Zigong, in the Fushun country of the Sichuan province, on October 8 of 1981. During her first years, she spent her childhood in her birthplace with her parents. When she was a teenager, she started being interested in pop music, and when she was 18 she entered the Sichuan Conservatory, where many of the biggest names of the mainland Chinese Mandopop industy, where trained. Although her marks were not very high, she managed to improve her vocal technique thanks to Lanka Dolma, a vocal trainer of tibetan etnicity, who discovered the hidden talent of the young singer. Thanks to him, she learned many traditional singing techniques which nowadays, Tan uses in her recordings. In 2002, Tan participated in a nationalwide singing competition and also made her first steps in the filming industry taking part in the "Heartbeat" television series. Three years later, she released her first studio album "The heart of the highland" under StarWin Records, That album featured many versions of ethnic traditional songs.
